CNN is looking for someone to handle responsibilities such as pitching, researching and planning guest segments. You’ll handle logistics for production packages and write anchor intros, teases, text for graphics and day-of scripts. You’ll also have to be skilled at adding images and video to stories.
You need a bachelor’s degree or 4 years of broadcast news writing and/or producing experience.
Marijuana News Reporter
Grizzle is looking for a reporter who can produce stories about marijuana politics, policy and regulations on a regular basis.
You need at least 2 years of experience in journalism, experience writing about marijuana, and knowledge of WordPress.
Special Projects Writer
Grist is looking for someone to launch an email newsletter and other content for its site and other platforms. The job involves research, regular interviews, managing social media account and drafting talks and presentations.
You need a bachelor’s degree, 3 years of writing or reporting experience and knowledge of environmental issues. You also need skills with digital journalism tools and G Suite.
Freelance Scriptwriters
Filmless is looking for writers to write, edit, and review video scripts for a variety of products and services. The job involves developing storyboards and creating tones and angles that suit each client.
You need 5 years of content- and scriptwriting experience.
Technical Content Writer
Tekwissen is looking for a contract writer to manage descriptions for Fisher Scientific EU. The job involves evaluating product specifications and data to create highly structured descriptions, applying tags and metadata and acquiring and importing images and other content into a database.
You need a bachelor degree in a scientific discipline or technical writing, and you need to know Microsoft Access and Excel. Pay is $35.00 to $45.00 an hour.

Pay is $100 an article during the probationary period and rises to a higher base rate plus incentives afterward.

Publisher’s Weekly is looking for book reviewers for categories including sports, memoir, commercial/women’s fiction and mind, body, & spirit.
Members of the LGBTQ+ community and people of color are highly encouraged to apply. An honorarium is paid for each review.
News Writer
Cheddar is looking for someone who can write 3 to 5 articles a day based on live interviews from the network. The news writer will also be responsible for creating a daily newsletter.
You need basic video editing skills, SEO headline writing skills and familiarity with CMS workflow and tagging procedures.
Sports Writers (Columbus, OH)
GameBreaker Magazine is looking to hire 10 writers for the 2018 Central Ohio HS Football Preview. Each writer will write 10 team summaries and five 800-word features on players.
You need 2 years of writing experience.
Freelance Writers
Mashed.com is looking for writers who can claim food-related topics, pitch an article structure, conduct the research then write.
You need at least 1 year of professional writing experience and knowledge of building content in a CMS, preferably WordPress.
Case Studies Writers

Food Photography (New York)

You need 1 year of food photography experience and your own equipment, including a full frame camera with good low light sensitivity.
Photo Editor & Album Designer (New York)
Brian Dorsey Studios is looking for a part-timer to curate collections of event images from raw images and organize visual narratives for use in print and electronic forms.
You must have 3 – 5 years experience as well as Photoshop skills and skills in RAW image processing in Lightroom. The job pays $19 to $23 an hour.
Videographer Journalist (Louisville, KY)
WDRB Media is looking for someone to join the team who can use video skills, technical expertise to deliver compelling visual stories for daily newscasts, weekend features and special assignments. The job may require frequent out-of-town travel and working in extreme weather.
You need knowledge of Panasonic P2 cameras, good lighting skills and imaginative shooting styles. You also need a valid driver’s license, good driving record and social networking skills.
Associate Editor (New York)
Business Insider is looking for an editor to work with the team of freelancers. You’ll be editing personal essays, reported stories, slideshows, quick news hits and longer features.
You need 1 -3 years of editorial experience and strong fact-checking skills. This job is an on-site position.
Editor/ Proofreader
Experis is looking for someone to work on an 11-week project for a major insurance company. You’ll edit the company’s content and ensure it adheres to AP style and their style book. You’ll also be responsible for redlines and PDF updates to various parts of the websites.
You need proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Plus, you’ll be required to learn a content management system.
