Welcome to Creative Jobs This Week, which is new this month. From here on out, job opportunities won’t be published in The Weekly Wrap. They’ll be published separately on Fridays.
This is not an attempt to turn into an all-out jobs board. But people are always looking for opportunities and I come across quite a few most weeks, so why not share?
I’ll try to avoid listing low-paying, low-quality work. But please keep in mind that some companies don’t say upfront what they pay. And if I ask and they don’t respond, I’ll make a judgment call.

Freelance Podcast Producer:
Wine Enthusiast Media is looking for someone to produce 2 podcast episodes per month and take on other tasks, such as working with hosts, writing host scripts, and participating monthly pitch meetings.
The job requires about 20 hours a week and they prefer someone who can come into the office for meetings in Valhalla, NY.
Freelance Photographer/ Editor
News 12 Networks is looking for someone to shoot and video for news programs, live coverage, breaking news and other productions and promotions for all News 12 Services. The position is on-call, as needed.
One year experience in television field production and college degree are preferred.
Freelance Science Scriptwriter:
PostModern Company needs a writer/scriptwriter to tell stories about discoveries, scientific concepts, ongoing research and National Science Foundation efforts. The work mostly involves video scripts, but there may be some print-based assignments.
This opening isn’t the NSF but rather a contractor that supports the agency. It’s on a per-project basis. And if you’re interested, you need to apply by June 13.
Energy and Industrial Writers:
Contently has clients looking for people to write B2B content on energy development, manufacturing, and production engineering.
Writers who have been published in Energy Digital, Industry Week, American Machinist, Offshore and Oil & Gas Journal are highly desired. Rates vary based on the type of content but generally range from $1.70/word to $1,400.
NY Freelance Reporters:
DailyMail.com is looking for writers for their 24-hour digital news operation. It requires working in-office with flexible schedules that include nights and weekends.
Writers need 3 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is preferred.
Co-Writer for Guidebook Proposal
The Fung Brothers, who have a YouTube channel with over 1.8 million subscribers, is looking for someone to finish their 22-page proposal for a guidebook to Asian America. They want the individual to meet with them for 3 hours to take notes before writing.
Pay is $300 – $400.
Bio-Chemistry Copy Editor
Cosmic Strands, a publishing company, is searching for in-house and freelance copy editors for bio-chemistry subjects. You’ll review and improve author-submitted manuscripts for publication in international journals.
Candidates should have a graduate degree in a related field and be versed with standard style guides, such as CMS, AMA, ACS, and APA.
Mental Health Writer
Theravive is looking for a freelancer to write one article a week on a newsworthy topic related to mental health. The article should range 600 to 1500 words. The writer is needed for at least 6 months.
You must have a LinkedIn profile and a presence on another established website. Pay is $90CDN.
Freelance Auto Writer
3 Birds Marketing needs a freelance writer to create a variety of content for their clients including, in-depth reviews, social media content, and dealership-specific content.
Knowledge of cars and the retail automotive industry and a bachelor’s degree are required.
General News Writer
Elite Daily needs a writer who can cover topics ranging from politics to entertainment news. You’ll pitch daily news and create 3 -5 posts a day. Shifts are Monday – Sunday 3pm to 10, and you’ll need to commit to cover at least three.
2 years experience and a degree are required.
Freelance Architectural Photographer (Colorado)
Creative Circle has a client who need a photographer on an ongoing basis for multiple shoot per week that could include construction sites, high rises, and high-end interiors. The job may require travel.
Drone capabilities and videography skills are a plus.
