Social Media Strategist Writer
OnlineSOS is looking for someone to develop social media strategy, set editorial calendars and write original, research-based content. They want someone who is willing to be bold and take risks with their writing.
They want someone who can start right away. Freelance or contract basis is an option. Pay will range from $15 to $25 per hour.
Script Consultant (Lawrenceville, GA)
USEE Films needs someone who can polish all or parts of scripts, re-examine the structure, and add more characterization and dialogue.
You need a bachelor’s degree. Pay is $950 – $1000 a month.
Office Life Writers
Quill is looking for writers who can produce articles and tutorials for office workers, admin staff and managers on topics such as operation tips, using technology and selecting supplies or equipment. You can propose your own topics or cover theirs.
You don’t need previous writing experience.
Pay is $50 to $150 per article.

Legal Reporter (NC or SC)
BridgeTower Media wants a reporter based in Raleigh, NC or Columbia, SC to write for two legal publications. You’ll need to develop assigned beats cultivate sources throughout the state and generate your own original story ideas. You’ll write stories for daily publication online and for weekly publication in print.
Pay is $38,000 to $42,000 a year.
Ag/Farm Writers
Growing America is looking for people across the U.S. to conduct phone and email interviews and write 500-750 word stories about agriculture and farming life. You must also obtain 2 to 3 photos for the stories.
You don’t have to know about farming but should be a good storyteller.
Freelance Copy Editor
Travelzoo is looking for an editor with solid AP skills who can commit 10 to 15 hours per week to assist with editing of travel, entertainment and leisure deals. They are looking for someone to work with long-term.
You must have a passion for travel and lifestyle content as well as basic fluency in HTML. A degree is preferred.
Freelance Copy Editors (NYC)
Media Planet is looking for an individual who is well-versed on a wide range of subjects and who can package stories in a clever, conversational tone. You should understand how to write sponsored content.
You need 3 years of experience. You must be available to work in the company’s Manhattan office 3 or 4 days a week. The average pay is $250 per project.
Content Editor (Dallas)
DFW Child Magazines is looking for someone who can edit print and digital copy that includes event listings, front of book departments, back of book departments and articles. Their ideal freelancer will also be willing to contribute articles.
You need a bachelor’s degree or 2 years of journalism experience, the willingness to talk on the phone and knowledge of the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
Men’s Editor
Men’s Journal needs a part-time editor who will spend the majority of his/her time posting and managing social media channels for two publications. You’ll need to write blog posts, help with script-writing and conduct interviews as needed. At times, you’ll also help create video content using Wochit.
FT Assistant Photographer (LA)
Forever 21 is looking for someone to shoot products for the company’s website, photograph employees for newsletters, execute campaigns and support senior photographers. The job involves staging the shoots as well.
You need a BFA or equivalent experience, knowledge of Canon EOS digital camera along with knowledge of Macintosh OSX, Photoshop and Lightroom.
Junior Photographer (Costa Mesa, CA)
Vans needs someone to photograph products, retouch images and manage the studio schedule, which includes outside photographers. You will also need to shoot events for Van’s Global, and will need to be available to travel overnight and by air 5% of the time. This job involves some nights and weekends.
You need a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in studio photography or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Freelance Graphic Designer (NYC)
Adweek wants someone with the ability to conceive and design visual packages and marketing initiatives across all platforms, including digital banners, social media, print ads and email. Duties include creating presentations, sell sheets, mock ups, proposals and premiums.
You need at least 2 years of experience and must be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML/CSS.
Freelance Finance Writers
First Quarter Finance is looking for someone to cover consumer finance stories, such as price matching, selling on Etsy, etc. All topics are provided with details to fulfill each assignment. You choose how much you work from between 15 – 35 hours a week.
Pay is $16 to $19 an hour.
Coupon Blogger
District Media needs a blogger to cover coupon and money-saving topics for grocery shoppers. They are looking for someone who actively uses coupons and who can write 6 to 8 articles a month that range from 300 – 500 words.
You should have knowledge of frugal shopping trends and finding deals as well as strong research skills. The pay is $25 an article.
Translations Editor
Human Rights Activist News Agency needs an editor for a six-month contract to edit text translated to English. You can be located anywhere in the world.
You must is proficient in (Persian) Farsi and English. You must also be willing to work weekends (Weekends? Here’s what I think about that). Pay is $15/hour for 20 hours a week.
Dentistry Content Writer
DeoDentalGroup.com wants to establish a long-term relationship with a U.S.-based writer who can deliver 2,000 to 10,000 words per month. That includes a variety of content such as email sequences, weekly updates, event descriptions bios and blogs based on videos.
You need to respond to communications within 24 hours and research the site’s competitors. You need to be able to use GoogleDocs, Slack, Dropbox, Basecamp and Skype. Pay is $20 – $30 an hour.
Construction Writer
Construction Equipment Guide is looking for someone in New England to write 2 to 3 articles, which will include covering events, reporting and writing about construction projects in the region. You’ll also be responsible for working with the editor to find leads.
You must possess knowledge of AP Style.
Technical Blog Writer
Sider wants someone who can write 2500 – 3000-word articles about technical topics, such as Ruby, PHP, Java, Javascript / Alt Javascript, Python, Swift, CSS. The blog posts should be able to be read in 10 to 15 minutes, and you’ll need to create one per month.
You must have experience with code writing and using tools such as Lint tools and Checkstyle. You also must have a GitHub account, and you’ll be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Pay starts at $300 per blog post and raises will be considered.
AI & Robotics Reporter
MIT Technology Review is looking for a reporter who can write about complex topics in an engaging manner. You need to find stories and write in various forms as well as create content for various platforms including print, online and podcasts.
News Reporters (Del Mar, CA)
The Coast News Group needs reporters to cover Del Mar and Solana Beach. The paper covers stories ranging from enterprise topics to day-to-day news.
Political News Editors
NONPART News needs individuals to work remotely helping the chief editor review unbiased political articles that range from 400 – 700 words.
You should understanding editing for online publications and standard SEO practices.
